Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,340.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Elisabeth Anna Maria Jerichau-Baumann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherd Boy standing before the Parthenon in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 22,705.00 (€ 17,813.43).
