In April 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Lost in contemplation by Elisabeth Alida Haanen. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,200.00 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elisabeth Alida Haanen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Playing With The Pet Bird sold at auction in October 2006 with the realized price of EUR 19,200.00.

Im April 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lost in contemplation von Elisabeth Alida Haanen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.200,00 und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Elisabeth Alida Haanen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Playing With The Pet Bird im Oktober 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 19.200,00.
