The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elias Vonck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A still life of a swan suspended from a hook, a hare, a grey partridge, a pheasant on a barrel and a rabbit and song birds on a stone ledge in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,899.52).
