Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work The Waag on the Nieuwmarkt with the Oude Kerk in the distance, Amsterdam by Elias Pieter van Bommel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias Pieter van Bommel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 63,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Waag on the Nieuwmarkt with the Oude Kerk in the distance, Amsterdam von Elias Pieter van Bommel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elias Pieter van Bommel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.150,00.
