Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A busy shipping port by Elias Pieter van Bommel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,495.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias Pieter van Bommel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 63,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy shipping port von Elias Pieter van Bommel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.495,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elias Pieter van Bommel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.150,00.
