Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch A View Of Rotterdam With The Hoofdpoort by Elias Pieter van Bommel was sold in the 19th Century Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2008. The price achieved of EUR 17,050.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elias Pieter van Bommel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods, which sold at auction in December 2010 for EUR 63,150.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch A View Of Rotterdam With The Hoofdpoort von Elias Pieter van Bommel wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.050,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Elias Pieter van Bommel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für EUR 63.150,00 versteigert wurde.
