Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work 397 Wimereux by Elger Esser. The price achieved of USD 2,413.00 (€ 2,189.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elger Esser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Doubt, Frankreich in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 124,071.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit 397 Wimereux von Elger Esser zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.413,00 (€ 2.189,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elger Esser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Doubt, Frankreich im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 124.071,73).
