Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Elena Climent could be acquired at Bonhams in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Shelf with Three Candles changed hands for USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,077.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elena Climent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Niños Doctores in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,850.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elena Climent konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Shelf with Three Candles für USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.077,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elena Climent erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Niños Doctores im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.850,90).
