Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints, which included the work The Ruff; The Bunting; The Royston Crow; The White web footed Gull; The Cornish Chough; The Cock Greenland Dove; and The cloven footed Gull by Eleazar Albin. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 706.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eleazar Albin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A natural history of birds [and A natural history of English insects, 1738-1749, 4 volumes, contemporary calf|AID711744] in May last year with an auction result of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,822.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ruff; The Bunting; The Royston Crow; The White web footed Gull; The Cornish Chough; The Cock Greenland Dove; and The cloven footed Gull von Eleazar Albin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 706,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eleazar Albin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A natural history of birds [and A natural history of English insects, 1738-1749, 4 volumes, contemporary calf|AID711744] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.822,70).
