Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eisuke Sato could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Untitled And Self Portrait (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,955.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Eisuke Sato have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2008 by the work Untitled & Self Portrait at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 15,436.21).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eisuke Sato konnte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled And Self Portrait (Two Works) für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.955,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Eisuke Sato wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Untitled & Self Portrait mit HKD 187.500,00 (€ 15.436,21).
