A top price for Eilif Peterssen - as previously expected
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya by Eilif Peterssen. The price achieved of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 211,590.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya is the most expensive artwork by Eilif Peterssen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya von Eilif Peterssen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 211.590,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya das teuerste Kunstwerk von Eilif Peterssen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
