Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Norwegian old House In Normandy by Eilif Peterssen was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 21,204.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eilif Peterssen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 211,590.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Norwegian old House In Normandy von Eilif Peterssen wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 21.204,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eilif Peterssen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Norwegian sunshine, Kalvøya im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 211.590,82).
