This artwork by Eileen Gray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in June 2019. In the Eileen Gray & the Villa E-1027 auction, the work Etiquette sold for EUR 350.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work PANNEAU ‘AUM MANE PADME AUM' (SALUT A TOI, O JOYAU DANS LE LOTUS), VERS 1912 in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 310,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eileen Gray erzielte im Juni 2019 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Eileen Gray & the Villa E-1027 wurde die Arbeit Etiquette für EUR 350,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eileen Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit PANNEAU ‘AUM MANE PADME AUM' (SALUT A TOI, O JOYAU DANS LE LOTUS), VERS 1912 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 310.000,00.
