It achieved a price of GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,536.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eileen Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Conversation, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,321.37).

Die Arbeit Boy and Horse von Eileen Cooper wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.536,00 (€ 1.536,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Eileen Cooper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Conversation beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.321,37) versteigert wurde.
