Auction result well in line with expectations

In September 2001 Christies in London held the auction THE TRAVEL SALE, which included the work A group of five Sikhs and Gurkhas by Egron Sellif Lundgren. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,845.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Egron Sellif Lundgren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Sikh and three Gurkha soldiers in October last year with an auction result of GBP 17,850.00 (€ 20,795.05).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im September 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE TRAVEL SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit A group of five Sikhs and Gurkhas von Egron Sellif Lundgren zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.845,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egron Sellif Lundgren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Sikh and three Gurkha soldiers im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.850,00 (€ 20.795,05).
