In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Arabian Beauty by Egron Sellif Lundgren. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,983.82), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Egron Sellif Lundgren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Sikh and three Gurkha soldiers in October last year with an auction result of GBP 17,850.00 (€ 20,795.05).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arabian Beauty von Egron Sellif Lundgren zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.983,82) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egron Sellif Lundgren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Sikh and three Gurkha soldiers im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.850,00 (€ 20.795,05).
