Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Portrait of a Distinguished Italian Gentleman by Egisto Lancerotto. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,157.50 (€ 10,279.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Egisto Lancerotto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Young Lady In A Vineyard in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,073.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Portrait of a Distinguished Italian Gentleman von Egisto Lancerotto zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 10.279,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egisto Lancerotto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Young Lady In A Vineyard im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.073,79).
