Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work A sailing vessel off a rocky coast by Egidius Linnig. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Egidius Linnig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shipping on a calm, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 12,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A sailing vessel off a rocky coast von Egidius Linnig zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Egidius Linnig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shipping on a calm beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für EUR 12.000,00 versteigert wurde.
