Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Boors singing and drinking in an inn by Egbert van Heemskerck the Younger. The price achieved of EUR 2,585.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,200.00 – 3,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egbert van Heemskerck the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Temptation of Saint Anthony in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,607.48).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.585,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.200,00 – 3.200,00 angegeben worden.
