Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Study Of The Drawing Room Of The Artist by Efa Prudence Heward. The price achieved of CAD 16,800.00 (€ 12,243.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Efa Prudence Heward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, which sold at auction in November 2010 for CAD 42,000.00 (€ 31,380.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of The Drawing Room Of The Artist von Efa Prudence Heward zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 16.800,00 (€ 12.243,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Efa Prudence Heward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady beobachtet, die im November 2010 für CAD 42.000,00 (€ 31.380,79) versteigert wurde.
