Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gathering wood in the forest by Edzard Koning was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. It achieved a price of EUR 1,912.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edzard Koning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Onder moeder's paraplu, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 8,812.50 (€ 3,856.18).
