A top price for Edwin Steele - as previously expected
In April 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Still Life of grapes, peaches and a pineapple in an ewer on a ledge surounded by other fruit by Edwin Steele. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,711.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 900.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life of grapes, peaches and a pineapple in an ewer on a ledge surounded by other fruit is the most expensive artwork by Edwin Steele that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life of grapes, peaches and a pineapple in an ewer on a ledge surounded by other fruit von Edwin Steele zur Versteigerung kam.
