Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waiting for the returning fleet; and The prize catch by Edward Henry Holder was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 864.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Henry Holder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Devil'S Cataract And Victoria Falls, From The West Bank Of The Zambezi River in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,440.15).

Die Arbeit Waiting for the returning fleet; and The prize catch von Edward Henry Holder kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 864,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
