In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Shipping on the Thames, St Paul's Cathedral in the distance by Edwin Henry Eugene Fletcher. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,561.99), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edwin Henry Eugene Fletcher; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shipping In The Pool of London sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,276.89).
