In January 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Shipping on the Thames; and Another similar by Edwin Henry Eugene Fletcher. Admittedly, works by Edwin Henry Eugene Fletcher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shipping In The Pool of London in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,276.89).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.061,79) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Henry Eugene Fletcher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shipping In The Pool of London im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.276,89).
