In March 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 1970-2010, 40 ans d’Art Graffiti, which included the work G.R.A.F.F.I.T.I., 2008 by Edwin Goodwrite. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,040.00 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Goodwrite - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Who'S Next, 2006, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 6,816.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 1970-2010, 40 ans d’Art Graffiti durch, in der auch die Arbeit G.R.A.F.F.I.T.I., 2008 von Edwin Goodwrite zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.040,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edwin Goodwrite mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Who'S Next, 2006 beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für EUR 6.816,00 versteigert wurde.
