Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe, which included the work Chicken Hazard, winner of the Bath & West of England Show by Edwin Frederick Holt. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,344.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Frederick Holt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of An Indian Sardar in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 24,911.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chicken Hazard, winner of the Bath & West of England Show von Edwin Frederick Holt zur Versteigerung kam.
