A top price for Edward van Ryswyck - as previously expected
In April 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work Pink Roses and Irises on a Stone Ledge by Edward van Ryswyck. It changed hands for a price of USD 15,535.00 (€ 12,650.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pink Roses and Irises on a Stone Ledge is the most expensive artwork by Edward van Ryswyck that we have observed at auctions so far.
