Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen rowing out to sea before the squall by Edward Tucker was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 358.50 (€ 536.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Tucker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of a harbour, which sold at auction in September 2002 for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,587.24).
