Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work The Parliamentary kitchen by Edward Tennyson Reed for GBP 375.00 (€ 393.86). This price was achieved in the auction Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward Tennyson Reed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘“K” And His (Anti) German Garden’ (‘The Flowers That Bloom In The Spring, Tra-La, | Have A Great Deal To Do With The Case!’) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,992.47).
