This artwork by Edward Steichen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in May this year. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Brancusi in His Studio, Paris sold for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,316.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Steichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flatiron in November last year with an auction result of USD 11,840,000.00 (€ 11,469,534.05).
