Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The World of Picasso: Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso, which included the work 'Pablo Picasso At Work At The Madoura Pottery In Vallauris', 1951 by Edward Quinn. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,579.31). Admittedly, works by Edward Quinn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1965 in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,121.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The World of Picasso: Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Pablo Picasso At Work At The Madoura Pottery In Vallauris', 1951 von Edward Quinn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.579,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Quinn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 1965 im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.121,37).
