Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Figures beside the Basilica of San Marco and the Torre dell'Orlogio, Venice by Edward Pritchett. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,683.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Pritchett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Church Of The Salute, Venice in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 98,400.00 (€ 146,146.71).

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures beside the Basilica of San Marco and the Torre dell'Orlogio, Venice von Edward Pritchett zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.683,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Pritchett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Church Of The Salute, Venice im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 98.400,00 (€ 146.146,71).
