The work View of the Grand Canal, with the Church of Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice by Edward Pritchett was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,125.89), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Pritchett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Church Of The Salute, Venice in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 98,400.00 (€ 146,146.71).
