Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with Stream by Edward Percy Moran for USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,768.11). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward Percy Moran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wildflower Field in Bloom in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,554.83).
