In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of Mrs Charles Tucker, When A Child, Seated In The Lap Of An Indian Servant, Circa 1805 by Edward Nash. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,195.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Nash have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Mooda Maji Of Coorg in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 16,100.00 (€ 20,525.22).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs Charles Tucker, When A Child, Seated In The Lap Of An Indian Servant, Circa 1805 von Edward Nash zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.195,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Nash auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Mooda Maji Of Coorg im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.100,00 (€ 20.525,22).
