Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roses by Edward Middleditch was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,674.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Middleditch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree In Blossom, 1956 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,103.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roses von Edward Middleditch kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.674,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Middleditch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree In Blossom, 1956 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.103,94).
