Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Snowstorm And Donkey by Edward Middleditch. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Middleditch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree In Blossom, 1956, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,103.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snowstorm And Donkey von Edward Middleditch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.855,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Middleditch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree In Blossom, 1956 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.103,94) versteigert wurde.
