Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Roemer, Grapes, Peaches, Plums, Raspberries And Walnuts On A Wooden Ledge by Edward Ladell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,066.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Ladell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With A Blue And White Vase, Peaches And Grapes; Still Life With A Bird'S Nest, Fruit And A Silver Tazza in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,333.26).
