In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Sir Harold Butler, Seated, Half-Length; Portrait of Mr Michael Mitchell, Seated, Half-Length by Edward Irvine Halliday for GBP 262.90 (€ 378.39). This price was achieved in the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house.
