Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sketches in Jersey and Guernsey, including: Seaweed gathering; Rozel Bay; Elizabeth Castle; and Moorings by Edward Duncan was sold in the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction at Christies in London in March 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 990.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Duncan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tantallon Castle, Coast of Haddingtonshire in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 15,275.00 (€ 26,109.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sketches in Jersey and Guernsey, including: Seaweed gathering; Rozel Bay; Elizabeth Castle; and Moorings von Edward Duncan wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby bei Christies in London versteigert.
