Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bracken gathering on a windswept moor by Edward Duncan was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2008. The price achieved of GBP 400.00 (€ 505.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Duncan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tantallon Castle, Coast of Haddingtonshire in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 15,275.00 (€ 26,109.34).
