This work of art by Edward Dodwell could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH ART ON PAPER auction, the work Mount Vesuvius, Italy changed hands for GBP 13,145.00 (€ 18,890.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 20,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Mount Vesuvius, Italy is the most expensive artwork by Edward Dodwell that we have observed at auction so far.
