Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Eager Terriers Outside A Rabbit Hole; And Excited Terriers On The Scent by Edward Armfield. It changed hands for a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,389.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Armfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terriers Ratting; And Terriers With A Fox And Pheasant in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,224.67).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eager Terriers Outside A Rabbit Hole; And Excited Terriers On The Scent von Edward Armfield zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.389,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Armfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Terriers Ratting; And Terriers With A Fox And Pheasant im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.224,67).
