It achieved a price of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 114,502.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).

Die Arbeit Separation II (Sch. 68; W. 78) von Edvard Munch wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 114.502,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edvard Munch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Scream im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.922.500,00 (€ 96.993.286,96).
