This artwork by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2008. In the Latin American Sale Evening Session auction, the work Relieve blanco sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,443.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Percusión roja in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session wurde die Arbeit Relieve blanco für USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.443,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Percusión roja im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 94.553,71).
