Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unloading the day's catch, at low tide, before a continental harbour by Eduard Schmidt was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,273.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduard Schmidt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing Boats On A Stormy Sea, which sold at auction in June 2009 for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,566.33).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.273,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden.
