This artwork by Eduard Dubois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2019. In the Old Master Drawings: Online auction, the work Studies of the head of an infant sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,216.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eduard Dubois; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Six studies of the heads of Michelangelo’s slaves sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,117.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eduard Dubois erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings: Online wurde die Arbeit Studies of the head of an infant für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.216,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eduard Dubois; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Six studies of the heads of Michelangelo’s slaves im Juli 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.117,25).
