Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Studies of European birds: Eagle owl, Long-eared owl, and Scops owl; Little egret, Common crane, and Spoonbill; Squacco heron and White stork; Curlew and Sacred ibis; Turkey cock (domesticated) and Wild turkey; Male blackbird, Brown thrasher, and Flycatch by Edouard Traviès. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,580.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00.
