A top price for Edouard Rischgitz
In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Bunnies at dawn, Brocket Hall Park, the Cedar; Shetland pony on the cliffs of Stonehaven; London Bridge; and A country road by Edouard Rischgitz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 600.00 (€ 876.50), 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, Bunnies at dawn, Brocket Hall Park, the Cedar; Shetland pony on the cliffs of Stonehaven; London Bridge; and A country road is even the most expensive work of art by Edouard Rischgitz that we have observed at auctions so far.
